How to Choose the Best Father Daughter Wedding Songs

Click here to listen to 100s of father daughter wedding songs!

A wedding is never complete without a perfect collection of wedding songs. While romantic songs for the husband and wife are in abundance, it is often the father daughter wedding songs that are hard to come across. Because the relationship is very paternal, mutual and dignified, songs selected need to live up to that criterion. You obviously cannot put on slow love songs with romantic wordings as your collection of father daughter wedding songs. So how do you go about it? Here are a few suggestions.

1). Choose According To Family Environment

If you have conservative elders in the family, then it wouldn't make sense to choose a rock or pop song. The father daughter wedding songs have to be something classic, with sober lyrics and decent language. Elders prefer the older genres of music as compared to modern ones, so make sure you choose father daughter wedding songs according to the family setting. You don't want people to be staring or making weird faces at your wedding!

2). Choose According to What Dad Likes!

Ok! It may be your day and you might want to choose your preferable wedding song, but remember; this day could be even more special if you played your dad's favorite song! It could be anything classic and you could both have a father daughter wedding dance on it. He will be moved by your gesture to play his favorite song on your wedding day. You can even dedicate the father daughter wedding song to him. Once his songs are played, you can always switch on to yours later.

3). Choose According to the Personality

You may want to consider yours as well as dad's personality while choosing father daughter wedding songs. If he is a bit shy and reserved while you are all bold and funky, then a blend of the two should make a good choice of music. Again, figure out what would suit his personality and try playing something close to his heart.

4). Play Songs That Held Special Meaning for Both of You

There must have been a song or some songs that you and dad shared along the way in life. Try to remember songs that hold special meaning between the both of you and have a dance with him on the special day. Fathers mostly sing out songs that has wordings such as “daddy's little girl” or “sweet princess”. Try to bring such songs into your wedding playlist and see dad's face glow in joy.

5). Try To Play A Mixture of Songs

You don't have to dance with your father on just one lengthy father daughter wedding song. You can even keep it as a medley. Compile all the father daughter wedding songs into one file. However, do this only if you are comfortable with the idea and if the setting allows it as most people still prefer to play just one song, while others like to bring in a fusion of it all.

A wedding is an emotionally charged event. Having just the perfect set of songs to compliment this event would make it one of the most cherished moments of life!
