The Changes Seen in Popular Wedding Songs

The moment when the bridal party makes their entrance and begins to make their way down the aisle is the most anticipated moment of guests when they are attending a wedding. This is the start of everything and lets the guests know that now the ceremony has begun and in a few moments a beautiful bride in a fairy tale dress will make an appearance for all of them to see. Brides also know that this is an important moment and want to be informed about popular wedding songs so that it may aid them in picking the right ones for their personal style.

Music is a powerful form of art that has the ability to set a specific mood, evoke various emotions, and provide a moment of clarity to its listeners. The once popular wedding songs are not as popular as they used to be. Last year in 2009 the popular wedding songs with the traditional words and melodies were not present in weddings as strongly as they had been in the past. The new popular wedding songs became tunes that were an accurate reflection of the bride and groom and to their unique personalities. The vitamin string quartet became very inspirational to brides planning their weddings. Brides began choosing artists like Ever long, U2, and Metallica whose hits became the new sound of popular wedding songs. These changes in song selections and what kind of music took the place of popular wedding songs extended into 2010.

In 2010 the popular wedding songs that brides have been choosing has been a combination of old and new. The wedding celebrations have incorporated both the traditional songs and newer pop songs. It is common for guests to be exposed to various genres during the course of a wedding ceremony. The songs that may be heard might include “At last” by Etta James and “Viva La Vida”.
